CQB Courses @ Xtreme Tactics

CQB Courses @ Xtreme Tactics

OK, they’re really Tactical Carbine Shooting Courses, but who’s counting.

Leading up to the end of the month, Airsoft Manitoba will be hosting CQB Training/Timing Courses at Xtreme Tactics.

The courses are designed to improve your skills in a number of areas:

  1. Reflex Shooting
  2. Finding & Using Cover Effectively
  3. Increase Stamina & Agility
  4. Improve Target Acquisition (Friend/Foe)
  5. Increase Course Familiarity
  6. Improve Weapon Familiarity

The Course will be timed and scored based on a number of criteria.  The scoring system has been customized to the course.  Feedback and a walk-through will be available after running the course, and the judge/timekeeper will answer questions and show you want you can improve on, as well as what you did well.

Rules overview:

  • Throughout the course there will be 10-15 targets.
  • These targets will be in either plain-view, or slightly obscured to promote the use of cover.
  • For each target hit, the Shooter will be awarded a small deduction off the final time:
1 second deduction for each target hit.
  • For each target missed, or not shot within 2 seconds of the shooter being exposed to it, the Shooter will be penalized:
2 second addition to final course completion time.
  • Specific entrance/exit barriers will trigger start/stop of timer.
  • Course will be barricaded to allow for only 1 possible route.

The CQB Courses will be held every Wednesday evening from 7-9 pm (19:00-21:00) at Xtreme Tactics in Winnipeg Manitoba.

The dates are:

  • October 15, 2008: 19:00-21:00
  • October 22, 2008: 19:00-21:00
  • October 29, 2008: 19:00-21:00

Any Shooter can run the course as many times as they like.
